Formerly known as Train Door Solutions (TDS) and now trading as Polarteknik UK, we are the leading supplier of rail door system related modification, maintenance, and overhaul services to the UK rail industry.

We provide a comprehensive service to the rail industry including: conducting surveys, training, commissioning, identifying faults in train doors, designing and developing new products and installing modifications to solve reliability problems in train door systems.

Our Milton Keynes facility is fully equipped to handle the complete repair and overhaul of key train door components, while also providing design solutions that enable in house development of parts, modifications and drawing updates.

We can also supply components such as valves, cylinders, switches, filter regulators for your legacy pneumatic systems. In addition to spares we can provide complete turn-key solutions from modifications and overhaul programs, including installation, set-up, test and training.

With over 25 years in the rail door sector, we have consistently reinforced our position as market leader for all types of rail door systems. Initially focusing on pneumatics, we provided expert advice and support to the rail industry. As time and technology progressed the industry focus shifted towards electrical / electronic systems where we have continued to provide industry leading support for all types of powered door system. With the experience and expertise developed over the last 25 years we have competence and capabilities to take on and manage projects regardless of vehicle class, OEM or type of door system.

Our UK operations have full RISQS and BSi accreditation.

With the support of our owner, we are the foremost expert in OEM equipment supplied to new build by Polarteknik and serve as the single point of contact for any maintenance, servicing or spares related interventions outside OEM warranty period of the products.

We have complete access to all Polarteknik drawings, original design data, and the industry leading design and engineering capabilities of Polarteknik to support any need that might arise in service regardless of door type, OEM or vehicle class.
